Stop Hating on #60MillionGirls and #LetGirlsLearn

Seriously folks, it’s all well and good if you hate Michelle Obama. Your karma is your problem. However, those of you who continually claim that she’s a disgrace as First Lady are being hypocrites when you rip on the one time when she is actually behaving like a classy woman who deserves that title.

Also, you’re the same ones who scream to the rafters about the fact that we’re failing at the war on terror. Obviously, there’s a lot of short circuits going on in your brains, or you’re sincerely that stupid.

The #60MillionGirls and #LetGirlsLearn initiatives are all about ripping the heart out of extremism worldwide. Doubt that? You must be the only people who have no idea who Malala Yousafzai is. Yeah, the girl who many of you figured deserved the Nobel Peace Prize more than anyone else who that committee considered. Yes, these initiatives are about what she’s been working for all along. Just because Michelle Obama is involved doesn’t make that work any less meaningful.

I speak not for myself but for those without voice… those who have fought for their rights… their right to live in peace, their right to be treated with dignity, their right to equality of opportunity, their right to be educated.

Yes, that is what Malala had to say about education, which is what this is all about. Why I’m saying that this is also about a battle against extremism was also expressed by her:

We women are going to bring change. We are speaking up for girls’ rights, but we must not behave like men, like they have done in the past.

If you’re wondering, yes she is politely saying that men screwed things up, and women will end up fixing it. It’s just a matter of giving them the chance to do it.

Of course, there’s always a chance that the haters really don’t give a damn about Michelle Obama, and just hate the idea of helping girls get an education. I believe we have a term for that – sexist.

Don’t be a sexist lout. Go support education for girls. This is something that should be done by the people, not with government dollars.
